Getting Started
For all our new clients and their dogs, we will require a meet and greet in order to determine the needs of both the owner and the dog. This also provides an excellent opportunity to meet your lovely dogs before our first walk!
The Walks
We will primarily only be doing lead based walks as we feel this is safest for the walker, other people and the dogs, it’s the best way to minimise unnecessary risk.
All walks will be at a medium pace (unless otherwise specified by the owner) to allow time for help with basic training, sniffing and exploring the surroundings, which all helps with mental stimulation.
Due to legal requirements, all dogs must have their own collar and tag with contact details (home address and phone number, it is not advised to have your dog’s name on the tag.) If required, we do have temporary tags with our details on. We will also use our own high-quality harness and leads.
We have a fantastic app which we aim to use to track every walk, so you know how far, fast and route of the walk your dog has taken - we can even track toilet stops and dog social interaction, if required!
All walks will promote basic reward training - we’ll provide the treats!
There will be a discount for each additional dog from the same or different household (see Buddy System section below).
Walks can be 45 minutes or 90 minutes long.
Buddy System
If you have only one or two dogs but your dog's have a friend, or we think there’s a suitable pairing of dogs, or a group of dogs, we can use a buddy system. We can arrange for you to meet other suitable dogs and if both parties are happy, let me know and then we can combine walks, saving both parties some of the walking costs.
My general dog limit is 4 for safety reasons, but this all depends on the size, strength and obedience etc. of the dogs on each walk.
Some Ts & Cs
We will try our best to adhere to the times booked but if it’s slightly late or early the dog will be walked as close to requested time as possible.
Extreme weather may affect the length of walk time, for the dog’s safety, costs may drop if walk times/distances are affected by this.
Vet runs may have to take president over walk times but you will be informed if there are changes, but walks will still be done.
For all booking cancellations or changes, we will require 24 hours notice please.
